"You are not a computer; you are a human being. You always have ideas."

I hear people say, "I have no idea." The greatest gift we have as human beings is creativity. We can generate ideas all the time.

I've said this more often than I wish to admit. I encounter a situation that has me flustered, embarrassed, and just puts more negative thoughts in my mind. What I started to do is looking at what story is happening in my mind, and what changes could I make.

So when I hear I do not know or have no idea, I learned this could mean the following.

I'm scared my idea is stupid

We have ideas that are audacious, bold, and impossible dreams. Yet, we do not share them.

We live in a judgmental world that decides what is Good or Bad. We take it internally and say we are Good or Bad. Judgment is the most common reason we do not share our thoughts. Judgment is the #1 dream killer.

We cannot allow others to judge our ideas. We will not judge our ideas before we share them.

If we see our ideas as dreams in a creative space, then we need to keep going. It's not a stupid idea, it's our purpose, and we must pursue it.

It does not make sense, even to me

We have these epiphanies or Eureka Moments, and we get overwhelmed. Some of these awakened thoughts are confusing to us, thus explaining these ideas to others is challenging.

It might take longer than a five-minute inquiry in our minds to recognize the brilliance you received. Don't stop; get clear.

It came to you for a reason, not anyone else—you, and you alone. Polish the thought, and give it to the world.

A great way to polish ideas is to share them. The more questions you get from open-minded people, the better you can give away that polished gem.

I have no experience

At some point in your life, someone will challenge you.

This challenge will come from your relationships: your family, friend, romantic partner, employer, or customer.

Today, you might not have any experience in a particular area, and you cannot generate an idea. Understand that trust is the real challenge here, and your relationship is extending trust to you.

Your relationship is willing to wait for you to have a new idea. In relationships that inspire, encourage, and support you, they are looking to be inspired, encouraged, and supported by you.

In this, we are together. So don't be afraid when someone asks you to have a new idea. Be thankful they are extending their trust.

You have ideas

I hope you start asking yourself questions and find out why you are saying; I have no idea. When you take the time to evaluate the circumstance you are in, you can further gain confidence that you will have ideas.
